Right, so the shop is out of fiber.
So I dyed more. I have a noiled silk and a cashmere/merino/nylon hanging drying as we speak… type.
I’m also adding these to the shop shortly. Three you’ve seen before…
Sunset Squall (previously unnamed) 2 oz Noiled Silk

Sunset Serendipity 2 oz Super Fine Baby Alpaca

Soft Serendipity (Not one contiguous piece) 2 oz Noiled Silk

And then there’s a new one! Wow, yeah, I know. New. Woo! Dance! Or um… yeah… not.
This is 10% Cashmere / 80% Merino / 10% Nylon SUPER soft and squishy. Should be a good fiber for socks! And in that interest, it’s 100g (Just over 3.5oz) which is about the size of most sock yarns and batts. As a side note, I’m also making some of these in oversized 125g (4.4 oz) batches for people who want to make large socks, or long socks, or… you know… not socks.
War for the Oaks (Note, this is not one contiguous piece)

Right, so that’s what’s new, and going up in the shop. More fiber on the way. I didn’t get more dyed last night because my oven was full of…

My traditional after Thanksgiving turkey. He’s 19 pounds. And tasty.
I did spin. Lest you think I’m perfect (stop snickering, I’m RIGHT HERE)…
I had more of the green from Summer Breezes left over, so I decided… to try to Navajo ply. Youch. I got the motion down after a while of breaking my thread every third pull. That part was good. Getting it to be smooth such that the twist went on smooth… took me a while.

Oh right, and as part of a swap, a friend sent me this little guy! I don’t think that’s what he’s for, but he’s my new wheel buddy.

That’s it for now. Will dye more tonight, and have two things drying now.
Back to lab.

War for the Oaks yarn! Eeeee! Awesome!
The yarn color is so beautiful!
Yep, War for the Oaks is my favorite. And so is the book.
It’s a perfect woodsy color, simply beautiful!
Ditto the turkey! Your new wheel buddy is cute; is this where I yell PONIES! – or is he maybe a–? Hm. Donkey? Mule? Nothing related to equines? LOL, I can’t quite tell!
