This last weekend my parents and I went to the Cummington Fair (the town after which Cummingtonite is named). It’s a lovely small county fair, though always funny to me to think of it as “small” when it’s half again the size of Mass. Sheep and Wool which is on the same grounds. Also funny since it takes me less than half the time for me to wander through.
It was a good time. As most times with my parents are.

The highlight of the event was the Firemen’s Muster where you quickly learn that coming in second is preferable to killing your transmission and ending up last. Knowing your engine is clearly very important.

There were also sheep! Mostly downs wools, though there was a small paddock of these exceptionally social sheep. Icelandics, I believe, though much softer than any prepared icelandic fleece I’ve seen.

Yay sheep!
All in all, a very good day. ‘Cause really, what’s better than family?

Back to the dyepot. Finishing up the tunis now.
